We offer these services to our registered users that qualify for with FREE setup (a $195 savings). You will need to complete a simple application process to get approved to accept credit cards. The application only takes about 15 minutes, but the review and approval process will take a few days to accomplish, so please plan accordingly and give yourself some extra time to get everything in place (1-2 weeks recommended). Once approved, enabling your store to accept credit cards is simple and only takes a couple of seconds. Your TotalMerchandiser site already has the linkage to Authorize Net built right into it so there is no programming or code for you to worry about.

Your credit card processing fees will depend upon the number and dollar amount of your transactions. Total Merchant Service's current rates and fees are some of the lowest in the industry:

In addition, your Gateway provider, Authorize Net charges $10 per month for its gateway services. Along with the processing of your credit cards in an efficient, fast, real-time fashion you will also receive a virtual terminal. This is simply a location on the server where you can log-in and then key-in and process transactions manually should you need to. Here are a few examples of when you might need this:

• Your customer places an order at your store but prefers to call you with his credit card info. You can process the charge right from your browser in the VT.
• You decide to attend a trade show and take a few orders while you are there. The VT will let you processing on the spot so long as you have Internet connection from a computer or Palm Pilot.
• A customer returns an item. You can process the credit right in the VT.
